I have never heard of Lent being hosed before. ;-) I thought only musicians were regularly hosed.

Will they anticipate Palm Sunday and shout some Hose-annas?

I was completely doused by a deacon while singing the Easter Vigil one year.
He thought it quite amusing - soaking the reed as well as he could before splashing all of that holy water right in my face. I couldn't believe it - holy water just dripping off my face and hair/veil onto the floor.

I haven't yet decided whether deacons are a blessing, or the only remaining affliction God could put on us? LOL. Those elderly Knights of Columbus with shaky swords don't inspire confidence, either.
