Lived in Iceland for 3 years. "folaldakjot" is Icelandic for horse meat. Tried it once; I overcooked it and made it too tough. With better preparation, would have been delicious. Dearly loved by natives, though. -
People who eat horse would also eat dogs. And cats. And spiders. And worms.
It's a cultural thing.
