Great piece! Bravo, JO! Am using this tomorrow for funeral. Do them ALL in this style and I will buy the book! Absolutely love the organ accomp.

    Thank you, Francis.

I have learned a LOT in the last 1.5 years, and I am much more excited about the types of pieces I am creating these days. For instance, if you care to look at 12th Sunday in Ordinary Time, Year B. Almost all the basslines in the Refrain are step-wise!

Do you print your music in a collection? (single pdf file) How many have you set to common tones such as Ps. 23?
  • JO, this tone is beautiful. :)

If I can be forgiven a quick niggle, it seems the text underlay of cour-AGE could be quickly redone to improvement...

But, really, this is very nice. I think I’ll add this to our short collection of Ps. 23 settings.

    Felipe,

thanks! please email me ( jeff@ostrowski.cc ) about the correction that needs to be made, because I am afraid I am confused as to what is meant, but I want to improve

    thanks again!

    Whoops: I was confused.

I see Francis was talking about some of the variants here.

I initially thought he was talking about this setting:

    MODE VIII setting

    Jeff and Felipe:

I made the same adjustment to "courage" as you did for the funeral yesterday.

    We did it thus:

    G F - G - A - F - D
    That - gives - me- cour-age

I am so glad! I want people to adjust them however they need to!

(believe it or not, I actually like it the way it is written)
