    Ask the members of a parish what the four ends of Mass are and one is apt to hear:

    1. The assembly's final "Thanks be to God."
    2. The recessional hymn and/or the organ postlude
    3. Coffee and donuts
    4. The clearing of the parking lot

    LOL, Father, but "organ postlude"? Who has ever heard of that? (*sarcasm*)

    In most Roman Catholic parishes I have been to, the "postlude" was the "Prince of Chit-Chat March". (sarcasm mode off)

    Not if I can help it! ;-)
    I have the best organist in Central California at my side, and he's been with us for 23 years and counting. He should be a DM, but loves things as they are for the most part.
    But literally, it's a honor to turn pages for him.
