I am Richard Cook. I would like to tell you about a new mass, “Missa Resurrexit”, written for Mixed Choir, Soprano, Tenor and Baritone soloists, Piano and Strings. In it's 9 movements, Missa's unique style, invokes neoclassical, romantic and renaissance periods. It begins with meditation, then expands into exuberant expressions of praise. It then ushers the listener to a place of repose.
Missa Resurrexit can be performed in concert or used in Liturgy.
Go to youtube.com to see a performance. Type in Missa Resurrexit. Each movement is a separate post.
The piano part is scored as an instrument in the orchestra. The Strings do not especially double the piano or organ. Only in big Tutti sections.
Thank you for asking.

Here's a routine reminder: Avoid flames: critique principles, not people. Be discriminating but don't nitpick. Be academic not acerbic. Be principled not polemical.
