Chant Accompaniments
  • I'm looking for good chant accompaniments for Alma Redemptoris Mater, Ave Regina Caelorum and for Sub Tuum Praesidium.

I already have reasonably good ones for the Salve Regina (Tonus Simplex) and for Regina Caeli and a few other pieces including Jesu Dulcis Memoria (which we also use as a Simple Tone for O Salutaris Hostia) and the Pange Lingua/Tantum Ergo.

I would also appreciate chant accompaniments for the Ordinary of the Mass if you have any particularly good ones that you would recommend!

I think the Belgians have nearly everything you could possibly want (courtesy of Jeff Ostrowski), here:

The NOH is lovely, but I also like the chant accompaniments in the St. Basil Hymnal (the circa 1950 edition). If you'd like I could upload them for you. The accompaniments in the Solesmes Liber Cantualis comitante organo are also very nice. I'm getting my turkey in the oven but I'll get back to you later today or tomorrow.

    Hartley,

Here are the accompaniments for Alma Redemptoris Mater and Ave Regina Caelorum. I don't have Sub Tuum Praesidium unfortunately. These are from The New St. Basil Hymnal (1958).
