Ascendit Deus in jubilatione

I have a copy of Liber Cantualis in modern notation that has this chant:

    V. Ascendit Deus in jubilatione. R. Alleluia, Alleluia. V. Et Dominus in voce tubae. R. Alleluia, alleluia. V. Gloria Patri… R. Alleluia, Alleluia. V. Sicut… V. Ascendit… R. Alleluia, alleluia.

(This may be a bit off because the typesetting leaves something to be desired.)

Anyway: anyone know where this comes from and where I can get it in square notation?

  • WJA, This is the short responsory for the office of Lauds for Ascension Thursday. It's in the square note edition of Liber Cantualis. I didn't know there was a modern notation edition.

The Antiphonale Monasticum (1934, but at least recently still in print) also has it in square notes.
  • You can find the sqaure notes right here at GregoBase: http://gregobase.selapa.net/chant.php?id=3220

The music is the standard melody for the short responsory (with the Alleluias during Easter) (and Christmas?)
