Hmmm! Aristotle, organists and salary scales.

Well, in 1961, for the then unheard price of $2.3 million, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York purchased a painting by Rembrandt entitled Aristotle Contemplating a Bust of Homer. I suspect that both then and now this amount is beyond the budget of most organists.
