I recently came across the name Dom Paul Benoit for the first time three months ago. I have found some recordings of his organ pieces on YouTube. Does anyone know were I can find his organ music online?? I did a vague search for it but came up with nothing much. Most of his publications I believe were through Europe and not much here in the USA. I am a fairly young organist (later 20's) and I found his music very expressive and enjoyable prelude style music.
I know I found a setting on YouTube of the Easter Tune Victimae..... as well as O Come Divine Messiah and Ubi Caritas.
Anyone know where I can find these precious organ pieces that are probably not all that heard anymore throughout the US.
I believe this is one of the small sources of income for the monastery, otherwise I would be happy to send you scores. As far as ordering the scores, The monastery has a publishing entity called Art Sacre that publishes his complete works in many volumes. You might try to email or call the Abbey.
I am hopefully planning of a series of recordings of his works this year.
