After having our organ almost literally blow up the week of Holy Week (We had to get a brand new blower, which is a story in itself) and having acrued the debt of our now closed school, we have no budget for a new hymnal so we must stick with our old Ritual Song Hymnal, but in researching new hymnals and perhaps with putting together a supplemental hymnal in the mean time what hymns would be a must have in your hymnal? It seems since I've been working on this project I have suddenly drawn a blank.
These are my favorites, the sine qua non (almost) of my liturgical existence. : )

Thanks for the very helpful compilation, Charles! Now I know where to go to find more gems. I'm always combing through my Anglican Hymnal for new treasures, but sometimes it's hard to know if it's a real "winner" or not.
