Simple Songs/Hymns to Sing on a Procession Pilgrimage

Hello all,
My brother is going on a pilgrimage to France soon and was put in charge of his group's music. It seems as if they'll be doing a lot of hiking and he was trying to find some good English hymns/songs for singing as they walk.
Any experiences or ideas? Thanks!
