Wendy just returned Monday from visiting her sister in Bend. Her sis is a choral teacher in a HS there and the DM of Trinity Church (1929, Nat'l Registry Historic Places.) Wendy sat in with choir for their Mass on Sunday.
It was set ablaze over night along with a neighboring Lutheran parish and some other structures in an apparent string of arson attacks. We've been trying to monitor local coverage, don't know if the multi-alarm response has been able to keep the structure standing or not up to this moment. But both the church and soup kitchen next door have been severely involved for hours in 16 degree weather.
Thanks for any and all prayers for all souls up in Bend who will suffer because of this.
