Just as an interesting aside, I'm posting this thread about a book I saw today, in case it would pique anyone's interest.

I visited the Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help this afternoon, the only approved Marian apparition in America.

In the mini-museum they had a copy of the Sister Adele's (the seer) "prayer book," which seems to be a breviary with some chant inside (obviously from before Pius X's chant reform), and was open to the Assumption (a day which has some significance with the apparition story). I had a little fun trying to sight-sing the antiphons right there under my breath...

According to the shrine history, it was published in 1855 in Belgium. I found it fascinating, so knock yourself out if you do too!

On a completely unrelated note, it was a pleasant surprise to see both shrine chaplains walking around in cassocks there!
