    In Advent 2011 I had a kids’ choir join the adults in Gibbons “This is the Record of John”. With no tenors, I had to sing the tenor line myself. *And* play the organ, *and* direct kids and adults. (Yeah, kind of proud of that one!)

    In that context, ISTM singing from the organ console, per se, is reasonable.
