If all goes well - and certain children aren't having asthma issues due to cold weather - I'll be marching, walking, lounging about with my two H.S. boy/men. Email me at icantorivocals@hotmail.com and we can trade cell phone numbers....if you have a cellphone, that is. love to run into you Ben!
The day of Friday's March in DC, we're having two(!) sung Masses at Old St Mary's in Chinatown, before and after the March. Both are extraordinary form:
The first is at 8:00 am, and will be a memorial for the late Miss Nellie Gray, founder of the March for Life and a St Mary's parishioner. The second is a Pontifical Mass at 6:00 pm celebrated by Auxiliary Bishop Perry of Chicago, sponsored by Juventutem Michigan. The parish schola, which I conduct, will sing at both Masses, along with polyphonic choirs. The schola will have a guest conductor for the evening Mass.
St. Mary's is at 727 Fifth St, NW, near the Gallery Place Metro, and not far from the Verizon Center. Would love to see some CMAA folks there. David Sullivan
