Makes for a good read, anyway . . . .
  • Leland, ah the Freudian slips we make.

Thanks for the good wishes. The schola is small (five people tonight including me) but mighty!

They sang wonderfully. Well, someone decided to add an additional melisma to the Communio chant at one point . . . something that of course never happened during rehearsal . . . but I doubt anyone in the pews noticed it. The other interesting moment was when I blew middle C on a pitch pipe before we began the Salve Regina chant. The gal who sang the incipit started on a low A, for some reason. I had to smile, thinking of the poor sopranos having to sing those low low notes.

Both priests at this parish are 100 percent behind the reform of the reform. The pastor stopped by before Mass to say a Hail Mary with us. The associate, who said the Mass, stopped by to see what we were planning to sing and to offer his blessing.

    Great guys.

    Mary
  • Some of the US Catholic Bishops are behind the times....the word ineffable was just used in an opening scene on the TV Bones marathon this evening.

Wonder if the script writer....is Catholic?
