Hi Everyone. I am a teenager and I have been playing piano for eight and a half years and composing for two or three. I am currently writing a mass setting. I have a few questions.... 1. I really want to publish it someday, so who do you think I should submit it to, GIA or OCP? 2. Do you have any suggestions for names? Almost every name I have come up with is already in use. My mass is in Eb major, it sounds pretty cheery, and it is contemporary. I was thinking Mass of Our Redeemer. Does that sound good? Thanks for your help. Sorry if I sound stupid, I'm kind of new at this. :)
Welcome, pianodiva413. I'll leave it to others to provide advice about your Mass setting, but if you'd like to know more about CMAA and the Church's ideals for sacred music, here's a FAQ document [in PDF] on the subject.
