The St. James Collegium Musicum is seeking a bass staff singer for the Advent and Christmas season with possibility of permanent hiring. This professional liturgical choir sings both Sunday morning Masses and all Solemnities at St. James Proto-Cathedral in downtown Vancouver, WA, located just 10 minutes from Portland. The group centers around Gregorian chant and Sacred Polyphony, singing mostly works by Byrd and Palestrina.

Those interested should have a very good knowledge of proper technique in singing polyphony, and be somewhat familiar with the singing of Gregorian chant. Superb sight reading skills are a must, as we sing a large amount of music per week. An audition is required in most cases. Compensation is provided for all rehearsals and services.
