Sacred Heart Parish, Manchester-by-the-Sea, MA and Saint John the Baptist Parish, Essex, MA is seeking a part time Director of Music. Proficiency in organ, vocal and an understanding of liturgical music and norms required. The candidate will be responsible for playing and being cantor at 3 weekend Masses (October -May) and 4 weekend Masses (June-September), as well as approximately 25 funerals and 12 weddings annually. Responsibilities include the planning, preparation, direction and oversight of all liturgical music, and the recruitment and training of cantors, and accompanists as well as interaction with the Choir Director. Good organizational skills and collaborative spirit a must.
