I went to see the SS Simon and Jude Cathedral Schola Cantorum directed by our very own Adam Bartlett this past Sunday. He has done a masterful job. The Schola has 3 men and 3 women with the Organist (additional man) that sang with the schola at the Offertory. It was a most beautiful experience for my wife and two boys who all mentioned what a great choir they were. Adam has only been at the Cathedral for a short time but it sounded like the schola had been singing for years.
The Offertory motet made the hair stand up on the back of neck and the communion harmonies were exceptional.
Adam you are truly an artist. You and your hard working choir deserve recognition for adding such beauty to the sacred Liturgy.
