Music students and professionals,

This announcement is aimed at all those interested in singing high quality Sacred music in a professional weekly setting. A professional liturgical choir in residence at the historic Catholic Church of Vancouver, WA. The group is dedicated to constantly delivering sacred polyphony, chant, and other choral music on a weekly basis. The great acoustics of the church building and the strong support of the pastor are just some of the great benefits of singing with this group.

Those interested should have a very good knowledge of proper technique in singing polyphony, and be somewhat familiar with the singing of Gregorian Chant. Superb sight reading skills are a must, as we sing a large amount of music per week. An audition is required in most cases. Musical selections each week range from Gregorian chant propers, polyphonic settings of the Mass, and anthems from the best composers of our time.

The group sings the 11am Mass on Sundays from September to June; Christmas and Holy Week being the highlights of the group's season. The choir is also responsible for other feast days throughout the Church year. We would be looking for individuals who could begin singing the first week of September, possibly singing one service in July and August if available.

4 staff singers will be compensated per service. More details are available upon further contact.
