Psalms with antiphons
  • I am confused about which psalms are to be used for which antiphons. Is there a list of acceptable psalms for each antiphon? I have seen the same antiphon from different composers which use different psalms. For example, for Ascension, I have seen the communion antiphon with Psalm 34 and with Psalm 78. Is there a guide for this? Thanks!

For the Extraordinary Form, the psalm verses are specified in Versus Psalmorum et Canticorum; for the Ordinary Form, details are in the Graduale Romanum. The possibility for variation comes from this rule in the Graduale: if the antiphon is not a psalm text, you're free to choose a suitable psalm other than the one specified: e.g. 33 (is that 34 in the modern numbering?)

If you're talking about "Taste and See," then yes.
