I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to set "King's Weston" for SATB (the most common lyrics for this hymn are "At the Name of Jesus"). In the Vatican II Hymnal and in the Hymnal of the Church of England, the tenor line is present for the first system only, then drops out. There is no tenor line until the very last measure. There remain working alto and bass lines throughout.
I know that the intent is most probably for the hymn to be sung in unison with organ, but if anyone had any settings for SATB choir or ideas on how to accommodate a tenor line felicitously, I'd much appreciate it.
