Saw this ad on the AGO job site today. Looks interesting. Here is an excerpt from the listing. Pay was listed as $50-70k. Both EF and OF are celebrated there, although it seems the DLM's role in the EF is (at this point) just supervisory in nature.
The Director of Liturgical Music (DLM) is responsible for fostering a culture of fine Catholic Liturgical Music at SS. Peter and Paul Parish.
This will include everything from preparing, directing and executing the occasional orchestral Masses (e.g., Mozart, Haydn et al) to continuing to teach the congregation, cantors and clergy the chanted parts of the New Roman Missal.
The DLM is responsible for the direction and formation of the principle choir (Angelus Choir) which sings weekly and supervises all other choirs at the parish including the Children’s Choir.
The DLM is responsible for playing organ at some of the Masses at which he/she does not conduct the choir. The DLM and assistant organist will be responsible for playing all funerals (100 annually) and weddings (70 annually) at the parish and for assigning cantors for these funerals and weddings. The DLM with the assistance of the assistant organist would be responsible for meeting with all engaged couples to plan the music for their wedding.
The DLM will be responsible for choosing music for the liturgies which is in accord with Catholic norms and the tradition of the Catholic Church as well as the wishes of the pastor.
The DLM is responsible for the management of all cantors and musicians including the assistant organist and other accompanists. The DLM is responsible for the recruitment, scheduling and training of cantors and accompanists for all Masses as well as formation for the congregation in proper liturgical music. The DLM would also be responsible for obtaining musicians for special events, e.g., Christmas, Easter, orchestral Masses.
The DLM is responsible for setting and managing the Liturgical Music Budget in coordination with the Pastor and Finance Manager of the Parish. The budget will be designed so that the DLM can meet the mission with which he/she has been charged.
