Audio material for learning to chant the office
  • Does anyone know of an audio course designed to teach how to chant the divine office, more precisely Vespers in the extraordinary form?

Alternatively, does anyone know of any parishes or religious orders that stream their offices on the Internet?
  • The Benedictines of Norcia post a number of things daily. However, I would guess that it is the monastic form of the office: http://osbnorcia.org/blog/
Fr. Z also posts podcasts of vespers occasionally either said:

    or sung:

Also, may I recommend getting to know the Little Office of the Blessed Virgin Mary, as it is the same every day, and one can get accustomed to what the elements are and how they fit together.
  • Thanks, I'll check it out.
  • RE: Christmas Proclamation. I am looking for the chant version of the ancient Christmas Genealogy Proclamation, often sung before the start of Midnight Mass. Can someone direct me where I might find this chant? Are there some PDF files of this chant? Thank you in advance.

There's a thread about it here.
