Anyone find the rest of the Berlin Papal Mass online? I'm interested in hearing the rest of it after seeing the incensation during the Entrance Procession.

Fr. Z did a little 15 minute thing with some of the music. Horrible.

I wonder what the Holy Father thought of it....

Wow, that is such an insult. Outrageous really. Bar music? Incredible.

The rest is not so bad, just overblown and forgettable. You can listen here

I, OTOH, was as always "in country" taking ack ack and flack and aflack and ducking canisters of mustard gas!

Do they usually do this sort of thing in Berlin? If so, that's one thing. If this was done specially for the Papal visit, considering THIS Pope, that's another thing. Certainly "deliberate insult" is the first thought that comes to mind...but is it the most charitable one?

It's the peril of the MegaMass. Not a fan of them in any way. There's no need to conflate rally and liturgy. Let rallies be rallies, and liturgies be liturgies.

    You mean two days ago??

    =P

Yeah, it's where I found it. Doesn't seem like too many people over there are bothered by it.

Well, JC, the news cycle runs much faster than does time in this era, yuk yuk.

With all the Papal visits to Germany and the USA, I'll bet he's yearning for another visit to the UK!
