    Director of Music

    St. John Vianney Theological Seminary in the Archdiocese of Denver is searching for a Director of Music. The successful candidate will design, implement and teach music curriculum under the direction of the Rector. He/she will also train seminarians to sing and chant sacred music, direct the seminary choir and/or scola, serve as organist for seminary liturgies and perform other related tasks as assigned. The qualifications for the position are: Master's Degree in Music or related field, academic understanding of the history and Catholic tradition of Sacred Music and previous undergraduate teaching experience. The successful candidate will also demonstrate excellence as an organist, competency in vocal instruction both vernacular and Latin service music. Salary negotiable.
