    Can anyone attempt a reasonable translation of this?

    O felix anima
    quae coelum possides
    O felix anima
    ad coeli numina
    ad Christi lumina
    Ad Dei limina triumphas
    O felix anima

    I'll admit I'm somewhat puzzled by the plural numina...

    O happy soul who attains to heaven!
    O happy soul:
    unto the powers (?) of heaven,
    unto the lights of Christ,
    unto the gates of God, you triumph,
    O happy soul!

    I'm not terribly pleased with that translation, though.

    I feel like "unto" is an improper translation of ad in this piece, but it's the only way I can make it make sense to me. And lumeni being plural seems weird to me... I would have expected a singular.

    so...is this for like a requiem or funeral then?
    Or what season would it be appropriate?
    (even with the translation, obviously I'm having difficulty grasping exactly what this is talking about...)
    Just our longing for heaven?

    Anyone know where the text is originally from? (It doesn't appear to be in the Liber, or else I don't know how to find it...)
