Origin of Melody for Sanctus of Josquin's Missa de Beata Virgine

    Hi Jeffrey,



    I have a general question just on the off that someone may know ... I am doing study of the Josquin Missa de Beata Virgine, specifically the Sanctus ... I am trying to find the plainsong or Mass melody the Sanctus is based on. I see that the Credo is based on Credo I, but I cannot find the source for the Sanctus.

    It is the Sanctus of Mass IV, a Mass that was often used for the Blessed Virgin in the Middle Ages and the Renaissance.
