Beginning in late September, 2010, Great Lakes Recruit Training Command chapel (along with the chapel at the nearby Training Command base) will need a new cantor.

It is a paid position (roughtly $7,000 a year) and will require two or three hours' work each week as well as all major holidays (Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Ash Wednesday, the Sacred Triduum, Easter, and the Holy Days of Obligation): about two hours on Sunday morning and an hour or so Fridays in the early evening.

These two bases are located about an hour's drive north of downtown Chicago, close to Lake Michigan.

All qualified applicants will be given reasonable consideration, subject to Command approval, etc.
