William Renwick of McMaster University is working with William Mahrt. the Gregorian Institute of Canada, and others on a remarkable project. It is a freshly typeset and fully reconstructed compilation of the music of the Sarum Office. Here is the information page and here is the download page. This is magnificent work.
This is SPLENDID! With this work on the Sarum Antiphoner and Nick Sandon's work on the Sarum Gradual we have for the first time in centuries performing editions for the chants of the Sarum Office and Mass. Jeffrey, thank you for alerting us to this amazing scholarly work- somehow it had slipped below my radar. With the increasing scholarly interest in the Sarum Use and the possibilities of a revival very real it seems, at least according to some, this project seems very timely!
