    THE PROPER WAY to type-set Gregorian notation is to put each punctum directly over the VOWEL.

    As you can see HERE, I tend to put the punctum more towards the middle of the syllable.

    Does that make me a bad person?

    Ha! This is very amusing to me as I have spent dozens of hours preparing booklets for vespers this Lent. You are NOT a bad person, Jeff. I lean away from placing the punctum directly over the vowel when using Gregorian notation with English text.
