I would be interested to know what folks are planning for Good Friday. We have an "in transition" congregation and I would like to offer something better than the usual fare.
Planning to insert as much chant as we can in our N.O. liturgy (Psalm verses etc). Will also sing Aristotle's Crucem Tuam (a/4) during veneration of the Cross. Trying to talk Deacon into chanting the Passion but not much hope there.
we are doing the crux fidelis (king of portugal), GC stabat mater, and maybe I will get them to sing one of the settings of O Vos Omnes that I composed last year.

Actually, I just looked it up. It was Neale's "Sing My Tongue The Glorious Battle" (Pange lingua). The choir sang alternate verses in a very simple harmonization by Holst.
