Schola Saint Grégoire in Le Mans (France), school of gregorian chant, announced this week that Mademoiselle Denise Lebon died on January 18th 2010, aged 86. She was a student of the school's correspondence course and summer sessions starting 1941, moved to Le Mans in 1947 as a teacher and became director in 1975 until 2002. She is the one who maintained (upheld) Dom Gajard's method in France. The funerals will take place in the parish church of Fontgombault (not the abbey, but not far) this Friday, 22nd, at 3PM (CET = UTC+1).
