The Community United Methodist Church of Half Moon Bay, California, is seeking a part-time (approx. 15 hours per week) Director of Music Ministries. Our Mission is to facilitate authentic Christian living through engaging and uplifting celebration of God and proclaiming God’s Good News. Music is an important part of the ministry of our congregation and life of our church.

The Director of Music Ministries will provide visionary and organizational leadership in continuing our comprehensive music program, which reflects a variety of musical styles (traditional and contemporary.) Our Music Ministries include adult, children and youth choirs, hand bell choir, and instrumental ensembles. The Director works with the pastor and ministry staff in worship planning and special worship events during Advent and Lent.

Qualifications: Ability to lead and draw people into joyful music and worship experiences. B.A. or B.F.A. degree in music or related major, or significant Christian music leadership experience

Salary is negotiable, based on experience and qualifications.
