I saw the review in the Winter Issue of of Dr. Susan Treacy's book, A Plain and Easy Introduction to Gregorian Chant (CanticaNova page). I was in Dr. Treacy's schola at Franciscan University those many years ago.
I was just interested to hear further feedback about the book if anyone has seen it.
I'm particularly looking for books for laymen not familiar at all with chant except by name and perhaps hearing a recording.
Yes, I have the book. It is excellent. You can order it through canticanova.com (Gary Penkala). You can also get "Master Class in Gregorian Chant" produced by the Benedictine nuns at Regina Laudis in Connecticut, done by Scott Turkington. It has a CD within. You can order it through GIA publications.
