Does anyone know who/where to contact to get permission to record children singing The Divine Mercy Chaplet for a Catholic School Auction Basket? Do I need permission under this venue?
  • Are you interested in the chant-like version - not the one they're using currently on EWTN?

I'm attaching the chant version, including the copyright notice they instructed me to use. They did not want any license fee, so long as it wasn't "sold". I think this is their contact info:

P.S. I also have my own accompaniment for this version.

Thanks Steve. We would like to have children sing it and put it with a wall rosary for a Catholic School Auction as part of the 4th Grade basket. I will contact the organization. Thank you sooo much! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J7jej5Y74bE&feature=related This link is the version we are used to doing in the chapel when we pray. I love this version, but I don't know if that's an entirely different copyright process?? Meanwhile, I presume we will only have a piano accompanying the kids. Is your version the pdf you attached?
  • That's the congregation's card - letter size, double-sided, then cut in half for double the quantity.

I much prefer this version. It's more like chant. My boss listens to the version you posted - it drives me nuts! It is much more "modern", and probably is heavily copyrighted. It doesn't really flow like chant. And, I'm sorry, describing Christ or not, there is no such word as "duh-vinity"!

I do have an accompaniment version, but it lacks the copyright note at the bottom. I think it's in my broken computer. I'm really lost without ALL of my files!

Ok, that was funny. Duh-vinity. How can I ever possibly listen to it the same again??? Thanks so much for all your help. I have already contacted the organization.
    Many thanks!
