Having not seen it mentioned here yet, and knowing there seem to be many in the group who have used Publisher for programs, I thought you might be interested to know the September 2026 release of Affinity Layout includes support for directly opening Publisher and InDesign files (opening IDML files was already supported).

My testing hasn't been extensive as InDesign is my primary tool, but I've been impressed with the files I've opened in both formats. I've had to use Affinity recently to be able to collaborate with a colleague who doesn't have InDesign and it's impressive how the feature parity is coming along—especially considering the price is zero.
