    I wanted to try something slightly more expansive this choral season, so I put this formulation together, using music from the Graduale Parvum.

    I believe the intention was for these to be begun in a manner similar to the Gregorian alleluias on which the melodies were mostly based. Imagine an asterisk and an ij. at that first half-bar, and execute similarly.

    Very interesting idea. May I ask, what has been your experience using a jubilatic alleluia at the NO? Any complaints about participation?

    Our congregation took readily to the Alleluia vidimus stellam for Epiphanytide and, for Eastertide, Alleluia ascendit Deus. These are of course two of the shorter jubiluses; another way might have been to start with the Medicean Gradual.
