I am looking to purchase the Anima Christi by Marco Frisina. I would like to make sure it is a legal version (not violating copyrights). I see it is on their Italian website but since I am in the United States I am unsure how to purchase it. Their version seems to be a pdf for purchase, but not sure how this would work since it would require an Italian address and how payment works. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I haven't seen any other place to get them, however ILP has Anima Christi in the Spanish hymnal (Cantoral). Perhaps if you contacted them they might be helpful? They seem very reachable as I was able to get the contact information of the owner of the company. I think he used to post here, too.
I successfully bought the official score from paolinestore.it without needing an Italian address.
I would strongly caution against using Musescore.com due to their deceptive pricing structures and questionable legality. Musescore the software from Musescore.org? Great! Musescore.com? Simply awful. I now exclude it from any websearch for sheet music.
since it would require an Italian address and how payment works.
Purchasing things from Europe online is generally quite simple, and excepting some recent tariff/duties drama, European addresses are not required—especially when you're purchasing a downloadable product. I've not purchased that score, but I've purchased other scores from their store and never had a problem.
I too would caution against using anything found on musescore.COM. It is very unlikely that the Paulists are seeing the appropriate royalties for the purchase, and the quality is often dubious. Especially since it can be easily purchased online as a PDF from the actual owner.
