I’ve just gotten word from a couple of sources that Fr. James Chepponis, renowned composer, musician, priest, and longtime contributor to this forum, has passed away. May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

So sad to hear this. I always admired his direction of the Pittsburgh Diocesan Choir. I didn’t know him personally, but everyone that I know that did know him spoke highly of him.
