    Is there anything affordable to give to my age 7-12 choir students? I'm also a Latin teacher and I usually give holy cards and candy to students for Christmas and year-end. Any other nice ideas for my new choir gang?

    You can buy St. Benedict medals in bulk and get them blessed too if you buy them from a monastery. I think this would be an excellent gift, especially if you are teaching them Gregorian chant.

    If the kids are industrious: you can get pitch pipes cheaply on Amazon. They are fun, shiny noisemakers to annoy the dog – and enable practice at home.

    Even better, buy them pixie stix and chocolate covered coffee beans as well as cheap plastic recorders. For even more family fun, have a contest for who can practice the most over the Christmas break.
