Identifying an old folk mass ditty

A question came in the e-mail the other day from a lady who is trying to identify a song her father, a deacon in Washington state, used to sing back in the 1970s, with these reported lyrics:

Come all ye strangers, come all ye friends, come to the gathering
Come with your sorrows, come with your joys, come with your wondering
And we will sing, our voices soar through the air
The house will ring and we'll be a family again
    Remembering the one called love

If anyone has clues about the source of this ditty, please fill us in here, and I'll pass along the information to the questioner. I think the purpose of the whole thing is only to sing it at a party, so it's not going to be inflicted on the sacred liturgy.

    I am preparing a 70’s praise party myself… but I don’t know that one.
