Martyrology New Texts

    Im wondering if anyone knows where there is an updated version of the Latin Martyrology. At one point I had found it on the Vatican Website but I cant figure out how to access it anymore. Reason being, one of the sisters had mentioned the adding of the coptic martyrs on February 15th and that the vatican had announced a text for the martyrology but I cant seem to find this text anywhere. Does anyone know?

    I am only aware of this from 2004 (which was a revision of the 2001 editio typica)

    IIRC, the martyrology texts for new saints/blesseds are issued as one-offs, eventually to be collected into new edition. It would be lovely if someone in the Curia thought to have a place on the DDWS site dedicated to gathering them together for public use.

    (We are still awaiting an official English translation of this. I would think ordinary Jubilees could be a good occasion for issuing new typical editions (or at least supplements thereto) and their vernacular translations, but I am nobody.)

    Yes, I saw that one, but I am almost positive I had found a link online on the Vatican Website a few years ago...

    Yes, it would be nice if there was an area for new texts.

    English Translation: One of our sisters had been helping with that project, and she said they have already made three versions because it keeps getting put "under the pile of work of things to look at", ie. basically by the time they look at it, it becomes outdated and a new translation has to be done.

    This from the USCCB two years ago indicates the 2004 typical edition is what is currently being used for translation into English

    Yes, that is the main source, but according to our Sister helping in the project they do have to add the new additions as far as they are able. But maybe at this point they have completed it.

    I'm not aware of a publication of the elogy for the Coptic martyrs (announced in 2023). Presumably it will be included in the third typical edition of the martyrology, announced in December.
