I am looking for the most accurate and proseworthy English translation of traditional Requiem Mass in order to complete a rendition which I began composing back in 2001, including the right of burial. What say ye?

Before the Second Vatican Council, some Anglo-Catholic parishes celebrated Mass from the English (or Knott) Missal, a direct translation of the Roman Missal into the early modern English of the Books of Common Prayer. Accuracy of translation was of considerable importance to them. If you appreciate the language (I do, but I recognise others don't), you can find copies on the internet, e.g. at the internet archive (see p1028 of 1086 for Masses for the Dead).

    Thank you @IanW.

Will create a spreadsheet to do a comparison among translations. Beginning with the 1962 Liber EL.
