Looking ahead a bit.....can anyone recommend a simple choral "Ecce panis angelorum" in either English or Latin for Corpus Christi? Last year, we did the whole Sequence but it was long, and I was requested this year to pare it down because of the procession, etc. - so I'm shifting it to the procession. But I'd still like to do something since we don't have that many Sequences in the year.
p. 35 of this PDF of Rossini's Canticum Novum has a 2-part Ecce Panis Angelorum. It only sets verses 1 and 3 of this section of the sequence, so you'd have to add in verses 2 and 4.
We have done this one by Perosi. Super simple, with the accompaniment doing lots of the harmonization heavy lifting. We sing it with the women on the upper voice, and the men on the lower.
