Tenebrae Lessons : Does anyone have pdfs?

I am interested to see what you might have for the lessons of each day, and in particular which tones are employed. I have a set and I am suspecting the DO clef may be wrongly placed in some of the files. Including samples... Saturday Lesson VII is in a major tone while the others are in minor tones.

    Thoughts?

Where does one find the official source for setting the text to tones for Tenebrae? I remember downloading an ancient tone, but don't remember where I found that one.

    ecce.

I do not place the flex as much as some do, in the prophecy tone. It's really for independent clauses, but you find it basically at all colons in some places, where the sense is gibberish if you were to put a period.

also @francis if you order tonight, you can get it spiral-bound and hopefully in time for Tenebrae, if you're doing it tomorrow night. (I love this and prefer it to binders.)

The Tenebrae booklet from St. John Cantius can be found linked on this page:

Thanks, Bri… Is there a link for a Latin version on that page?

I think they only have the English version.

Jennifer Donelson-Nowicka recently shared the link for the Breviarium Gregorianum.

If you look at Matins and Lauds, that should give you Tenebrae (but correct me if I'm wrong about this):

    Matins for Holy Thursday:

It gives you the text. Which is good as there are a number of tones for the II and III nocturns (and I don’t think that people apply the prophecy tone correctly: they put the flex at incomplete sentences) but the good default for the Lamentations is the standard one.

    K

Here are files I created for Lesson VII each day for which I was responsible to chant.

PS... the three lined staves are to save room on the paper so I could create large fonts for my poor failing eyes...
