Charles, a parishioner and daily communicant has died.

His next of kin, though they recognize his profound dedication to the parish for so much of his long life, are arranging instead a graveside service only, and are being difficult about it when confronted by clergy etc with the fact that this clearly would not have been Charles’ wish.

Pray that this faithful man is given the send-off he deserves, for hard hearts to soften, and for him to be in his beloved church for one last Mass.

    Will be praying...

If necessary on the day of the Funeral have a full Requiem Mass with Catafalque etc. This is what we would do.

N.B. This is another reminder to have a will with your wishes for a requiem very clear.

Not the will. Never the will. You need another document and hopefully easy access to the funds. The will will not be examined in a timely fashion.
