I notice that, in both the P&B setting, as well as in the St. Peter Gradual, the distinctive repetition of the first part of this antiphon as found in the GR is not included. Does anyone know what accounts for this? Is it a sarum thing? Or merely a simplification?

I can’t access Renwick’s modern (that is, newly-edited and typeset, in square notation) edition of the Sarum gradual but a draft of his English adaptation is still available in PDF. He includes the repetition.

Just looked at Frere's Graduale Sarisburiense it is doubled, Our choir loves Moses' stutter preserved in the Graduale,

The Missal text does not have the repetition, so anyone following that text will omit it.image

Of course you can always check the Graduale Synopticum http://gregorianik.uni-regensburg.de/gr/#id/575 They also agree on a repetition.
