Greetings all: The Church of the Holy Ghost in Denver, Colorado is accepting applications and auditions for principal organist. Holy Ghost is one of the largest Catholic churches in Denver and presents a weekly Latin Choral Mass. Organist would be responsible for playing at the Latin Choral Mass at 10am on Sunday, the standard mass at 12noon on Sunday and the Saturday afternoon Anticipatory Mass, as well as all services during Holy Week and other important days of obligation. Additionally, the organist would serve as the accompanist for the Cappella, a twelve member professional vocal ensemble that performs masses, motets and chants at the Latin Choral Mass. Holy Ghost is one of the premiere locations for weddings, and the organist would have ample opportunity to supplement income with weddings and funerals, fees for which are paid to the organist directly from the church.
Any interested candidates, please contact Cappella Director Sean Burns at holyghostcappella@yahoo.com for more details.
It's a beautiful, beautiful church, with excellent music and wonderful preaching. It was an absolute blessing to me on a several month stay in Denver once, (and one of the associates very kindly did part of some of our pre-Cana, FOCCUS instrument, etc., stuff we had to do on the fly.)
